Server Monitor provides the administrator capability to configure the system to run with minimum downtime and keep administrator/support team updated with the status in case of issues with excellent alert features.
Configuration: Administrator can choose what services he wants to monitor. Administrator can configure selected services to keep monitored/restart/alert capabilities.
Monitoring: Server monitor can monitor the services which are configured for monitoring. It can check the status (down/up/starting/stopping etc). Along with that server monitor also monitors the performance and usages of the services. These performance and usages criteria can be configured by configuration screen (Crystal Job server threshold limit)
Action: Server monitor triggers various actions based on the configuration options. Administrator can define those actions. For example an action can be defined to alert the administrator when Desktop Intelligence Job server job processing reaches its limit of 25. If any job takes more than 20min, system should abort the job and send alert to the administrator.
Alerting: Server monitor provides various alerting features configuration to the administrator. Administrator can set alert for sending emails/triggering job/Sending Pagers to various team members (support team).
- Send email if server goes down (3 consecutive attempts fails to restart)
- Send email if system performance is slow (taking more than defined time for various process logging etc).
- Create log files for the errors, downtime etc
- Create event log in the system for errors downtime etc
Server Management: Administrator can select multiple services together and perform various operations on them.
- Restart all services
- Stop all services
- Start all services
- Enable all services
- Disable all services
Export Feature: Administrator can export all services information in pdf/excel format using export functionality. This feature will export all server configuration settings into excel/pdf format.
